Role:
Actively sells the company’s product and
services to both established and new
customers. Works with Business Manager in
developing new products, recommending
product and product line revisions, R & D and
executing marketing strategy. Manages
regions which require minimum 50% travel.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Make identifiable and substantial contributions to continuous improvement. Performs all duties consistent with established company guidelines consistent with ISO-9001 and those elements of GMP deemed necessary to support our business (as outlined in the Quality Manual). Actively complies with and endorses Department and Company objectives.
Actively sell company products and services by interacting with established customers and developing new prospects.
Develop sales plans which demonstrate and ensure future growth within the assigned region(s).
Manage forecast of products with region(s) and communicate that information with the company.
Prepare company to accept an order (Includes securing and renewing orders, negotiating contracts, communicating lead times and delivery dates and informing internal staff of customers’ requirements).
Confer with the Business Manager in the development of new product(s) and product line revisions as a result of identifying new applications.
Maintain records and prepare reports in a timely manner on all phases of sales activities.
Perform other duties as assigned by Business Manager.
Active Member of project team(s) in the product development process. Monitors and drives timely completion of key milestones in the development process.
Prepares and assists in managing tradeshows.
Ability to support/promote core business applications and identify new niche markets in which to generate new revenue
Job Specification:
College Degree (ideally science or engineering)
Ability to travel minimum 50% of the time
Minimum of 4 to 6 years sales experience ideally in a medical or Pharmaceutical related industry.
Application selling experience, related to manufacturing services.
Strong listening, communication and presentation skills
Project Management experience preferred
Ability to think strategically and work in a team environment
Proven track record of generating new sales revenue
Minimum 4-6 years experience within the Industry supported by the business unit.
Experience in value added pricing
