Logistics Specialist

Role:

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to manage a global Warehousing and Transportation Network.  The ideal candidate will have a background in Logistics Operations including experience with 3^rd Party Transportation, Warehousing and Supplier Relationship Management.  You will also have excellent communication skills as well as the ability to maintain priorities and deadlines with strong attention to detail.  The role requires strong organisational skills, the capability to work under pressure and work with a high degree of flexibility. You will be expected to balance operational and tactical management of the function by leveraging the resources of 3^rd party suppliers. Provide day-to-day support for Worldwide logistics issues raised such as:- Proactive Tracking of inbound supply & Expediting Orders. Dealing with service failures (missing/incomplete shipments, damages, delivery slots, paperwork, etc). Timely communication of issues to Internal Customers. Management of Worldwide Logistics Vendors. Carrier performance and activity metrics. Freight Activity Reporting. Freight Cost Analysis. Monitor open queries with Logistics vendors and ensure they are closed within the agreed timelines. Vendor Meetings and Business Reviews.

Management of vendor pricing including cost reduction projects and RFQ processes

Management of the Freight Invoice Approval process. Work with 3^rd Party Freight Invoice audit company. Weekly reporting and analysis

Managing Foreign Customs Requirements

Internal advisor for Export Transactions.

Product Classifications. Liaising with Consultants and Regulatory Agencies

5 Years relevant experience of Logistics in a high volume international manufacturing. Experience of an Outsourced Supply Chain and Logistics environment essential.
